Kremlin agrees with Trump that he "gave Russia nothing except grief"

Trump introduced sanctions against Moscow and supplied Javelin missile systems for Kiev

MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump really did much against Russia during his previous presidential term, said Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Trump denied accusations about his pro-Russian position, saying "I gave Russia nothing except grief."

Trump introduced sanctions against Moscow and supplied Javelin missile systems for Kiev.

"Indeed, everyone remembers well that during Trump's previous presidential term, many sanctions were imposed, and arms supplies to Ukraine began. It really happened. Here we can only agree," Peskov said.

He declined to talk about why Trump's position might have changed compared to his first term as president.

"After all, we are talking about the President of the United States. We hear his statements about his desire to bring peace to Ukraine. This is welcome," he said.

"We are receiving certain information about the proposed actions in this direction. This is also positive. Next, we will see how the situation develops in reality.".
