MOSCOW, December 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed international cooperation in the Caspian region and some other issues with permanent members of the Russian Security Council at the final operational meeting in 2024.
"Today we will discuss various aspects of work with our closest friends, colleagues, partners, and allies. Let us start with the issue of interaction in the Caspian region," Putin said, defining the topic for discussion.
Russia's Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council and United Russia Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, the speakers of the Russian Federation Council and the State Duma, Valentina Matviyenko and Vyacheslav Volodin, Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu, Presidential Administration Head Anton Vaino, Presidential Aide Nikolay Patrushev, Special Presidential Envoy for Environmental Protection, Ecology, and Transport Sergey Ivanov attended the meeting.
Among the participants were the heads of federal agencies and services - Russia's Defense Minister Andrey Belousov; Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev; Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov; Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov; Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director Sergey Naryshkin.
