CIS countries not susceptible to Western interference — SVR Director

"I believe that the trend and the steps that the members of our Commonwealth take in terms of establishing the Eurasian security architecture trump everything else," Sergey Naryshkin said

MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. CIS countries are used to the West trying to interfere in their internal affairs, so they are immune to these attempts at this point, Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director Sergey Naryshkin said after the 20th meeting of CIS heads of security and intelligence agencies.

"We have already become accustomed to such actions from the Western bloc and we have acquired a certain immunity. I believe that the trend and the steps that the members of our Commonwealth take in terms of establishing the Eurasian security architecture trump everything else," he said.

"This is the defining trend and the main driving force behind this work - the desire of Commonwealth states to finally set a firm barrier on the path of interference of the Western bloc’s totalitarian-liberal regimes in the internal affairs of our countries, our governments. This will allow us to reliably develop, step by step, and build our future," Naryshkin underscored.
