DPR skeptical about Ukrainian conflict resolution following Trump's victory

Denis Pushilin clarified that the DPR will monitor the US leader's real actions

MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. The authorities of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) are under no illusions regarding the prospects for resolving the Ukrainian conflict after Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election, Denis Pushilin, the head of the region, stated.

"The 2016 experience leaves us with no illusions, especially unrealistic ones, about all the peacemaking talking points we hear as part of [Donald Trump's] election campaign," Pushilin commented on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

He clarified that the DPR will monitor the US leader's real actions. "We will be observing what happens with arms shipments and so on and so forth. Therefore, words are, unfortunately, not enough. We need actions. And of course, the way many European countries will act depends on how the United States under Trump's leadership will act, given the limited opportunities that the US president has, considering Congress and domestic factors," Pushilin explained.
