Top Russian security official discusses countering terrorism with his Indian counterpart

ASTANA, April 2. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev held a working meeting with Ajit Kumar Doval, Indian National Security Advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, separately discussing the exchange of information on terrorists and extremists.

The bilateral meeting took place on the eve of the upcoming 19th annual meeting of the secretaries of security councils of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states in Astana. "Nikolay Patrushev met with Ajit Kumar Doval, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India. The sides discussed issues of strengthening Russian-Indian cooperation in various spheres," the press service of the Russian Security Council apparatus reported.

"The sides put special emphasis on the fight against terrorism both in bilateral and multilateral formats, exchange of information about terrorists and extremists," the press service said.
