MOSCOW, February 29. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has begun delivering his annual State of the Nation Address to both houses of the Federal Assembly, the Russian parliament.

Speaking at Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor venue, the head of state is presenting his assessment of the situation in the country and internationally, and will lay out his vision of Russia’s national goals for the future.

As is customary, the precise topics to be covered in Putin’s address were not announced in advance. However, Putin said earlier that "given the domestic political calendar," the address would set the goals for the next six years.
