US plan Russia may agree to negotiate on Kiev’s terms unrealistic — Kremlin

Earlier, the US presidential first deputy assistant for national security, Jonathan Feiner, said that the United States was pushing for Russia to have to negotiate a settlement in Ukraine on terms favorable to Kiev at the end of 2024

MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov is confident that the US plan for getting Russia to negotiate on terms favorable to Kiev cannot be implemented.

"No, it is absolutely unrealistic," Peskov told the media.

Earlier, the US presidential first deputy assistant for national security, Jonathan Feiner, said that the United States was pushing for Russia to have to negotiate a settlement in Ukraine on terms favorable to Kiev at the end of 2024.

"We would like for the Ukrainians to be in positions at the end of next year in which Russia would have to make a decision: either they must sit down at the negotiating table on terms acceptable to Ukraine (...), or they will deal with a stronger Ukraine, backed by a stronger industrial base in the US and Europe and within Ukraine, and better able to re-enter the offensive," Feiner said.
