Russia provides correspondence on Nord Stream blasts to UNSC, mission says

Earlier, Russia drafted a UN Security Council resolution on an international investigation into the act of sabotage against the Nord Stream gas pipelines that is supposed to be conducted under the auspices of the UN secretary general

UNITED NATIONS, March 14. /TASS/. Russia has provided its correspondence with Germany, Denmark and Sweden on a probe into the Nord Stream blasts to the UN Security Council and General Assembly, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky said on Telegram on Tuesday.

"We sent a copy of our correspondence with Denmark, Sweden and Germany on their national investigations to the UN Security Council and General Assembly as part of efforts to promote a UN Security Council resolution on creating a UN-led international commission to look into the act of sabotage against the Nord Stream pipelines," he pointed out.

"The documents make it possible for our colleagues at the UN to see that allegations about these countries informing us of their investigations’ progress are untrue," Polyansky added.

Earlier, Russia drafted a UN Security Council resolution on an international investigation into the act of sabotage against the Nord Stream gas pipelines that is supposed to be conducted under the auspices of the UN secretary general. Moscow insists that the probes that are being carried out by Germany, Denmark and Sweden aren’t enough, especially since Russia is not allowed to take part in them. Russia plans to put the resolution to a vote before the end of March.
