MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. Relationship between Russia and the European Union have reached rock bottom, but it is Brussels, not Moscow, that initiated that, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin said in an interview with the Zvezda television channel, as an excerpt of his interview was posted on Zvezda’s Telegram channel on Saturday.

"Of course, now relations are at the lowest ebb, and it is bad. It is bad in terms of world international relations and international stability," he said in response to a question.

The diplomat added that Brussels was to be blamed for this state of affairs.

"Here, first and foremost, we should make it clear that the decision-makers in Brussels were and still are the driving force of this bad state," Vershinin said. "There have been no political contact for many years. And it was not our fault.".
