MOSCOW, April 19. /TASS/. The governments of Russia and Armenia have signed an agreement on cooperation in information security, the press service of the Russian Security Council reported on Tuesday.
"According to the document, the main directions of cooperation between Russia and Armenia in the field of information security will be the coordination of countering threats in this area, exchange of data to identify, prevent, suppress and investigate offenses related to the use of information and communication technologies for terrorist and other criminal purposes," the report said.
Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev and his Armenian counterpart Armen Grigoryan signed the agreement on behalf of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is currently on a two-day official visit to Russia. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Security Council Secretary Grigoryan, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Education, Science, Culture and Sport Minister Vahram Dumanyan and other officials are in Moscow as well.
