Russian senior MP puts blame for Ukraine’s militarization on Biden, US Congress

It is high time for the world community to see who is really to blame for the militarization and Nazification of Ukraine, Vyacheslav Volodin said

MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. The world community should finally see that responsibility for the militarization and Nazification of Ukraine rests on US President Joe Biden, American senators and congressmen, who should be put to trial, speaker of the Russian State Duma (lower parliament house) Vyacheslav Volodin said on Wednesday.

"It is high time for the world community to see who is really to blame for the militarization and Nazification of Ukraine. Biden, US senators and congressmen were the initiators of these decisions," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

"It is them who committed crimes against humankind and who must be put to trial," he added.

US President Joe Biden begins to understand that he will have to responsible for what is going on in Ukraine, Volodin said.

"Washington is in hysterics. From senators to the president. <…> Biden begins to understand that he will have to be responsible for what is going on in Ukraine. The entire world saw how [Russian President Vladimir] Putin was trying to convince him that it is necessary to find solutions on security matters, but Biden did not think it possible to begin dialogue," Volodim wrote on his Telegram channel.

He stressed that the world community should finally see that responsibility for the militarization and Nazification of Ukraine rests on US President Joe Biden, American senators and congressmen. "It is high time for the world community to see who is really to blame for the militarization and Nazification of Ukraine. Biden, US senators and congressmen were the initiators of these decisions," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

"It is them who committed crimes against humankind and who must be put to trial," he added.

"The force solution in Ukraine could have been avoided," he noted. "But due to Washington, Ukraine was flooded with weapons, which got in the hands of nationalists. Today, they use civilians as a human shield, don’t let them leave areas of combat operations, doom people to sufferings and death using them as hostages."

European leaders, in his words, "should have shown independence and will" to call on the United States and NATO to stop militarizing Ukraine in order to avoid a catastrophe in Europe.

According to Volodin, the reasons of Washington’s hysterics are evident. "The anti-Russian sanctions are not working," Russia’s society has consolidated around the president, Ukraine "has run out of control," the prices on energy sources are skyrocketing not only in the United States, but also in Europe. "It has become clear for all: attacks on Putin have one goal - to ruin Russia. But is has turned out that you don’t know the people of our country," he noted addressing Western politicians.
