Europe must understand that NATO-centric security structure a road to nowhere — diplomat

According to Alexander Grushko, Europe must curb the consequences of NATO intervention in other countries and protect itself from them

MOSCOW, March 2. /TASS/. Europe will have a realization sooner or later that the NATO-centric structure of security is a road to nowhere, and it simply turns Europe into an object of military planning, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said on Russian TV Wednesday.

"If you put the interests of security above else, then, a realization must happen in Europe sooner or later that the establishment of this NATO-centric architecture is a road to nowhere, it is simply turning oneself into an object of military planning," the senior diplomat said.

Europe must curb the consequences of NATO intervention in other countries and protect itself from them, Grushko stated.

"Europe, essentially, must first and foremost curb, neutralize and protect itself from the consequences of NATO interventions," he said.
