Kremlin says coronavirus threat remains in Russia

At the same time, in Dmitry Peskov’s words, the latest figures "are encouraging as they point to a downward trend"

MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. The coronavirus threat in Russia will remain for some time, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"The epidemiological threat is clearly still there, particularly for those in risk groups, and it will definitely remain for some time. No one knows for how long," he said.

At the same time, in Peskov’s words, the latest figures "are encouraging as they point to a downward trend." "However, if we ignore the trend, they [the figures] are still high. It shows that anyone can get infected," the Russian presidential spokesman added. He emphasized that people "need to take care of themselves and their loved ones."

Coronavirus pandemic
