BANGKOK, February 10. /TASS/. Aeroflot’s Boeing 777-300 headed on Flight SU277 from Phuket to Moscow landed in Bangkok, according to data from the Flightradar24 tracking service.
According to Thai PBS television, the jetliner circled above the Andaman Sea for a few hours before reaching out to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok to request landing due to a technical failure. Airport Director Kittipong Kittikachorn said fire trucks were on standby, but no emergency was declared after all. Thai PBS reported the plane’s landing gear was at fault.
A Bangkok airport spokesman told TASS that the plane had successfully landed at 9:11 p.m. local time.
The consular section of the Russian Embassy in Thailand told TASS that none of the passengers of Flight SU277 had asked for consular assistance.
