VILNIUS, November 25. /TASS/. A Spanish citizen, an employee of DHL, died in a plane crash that occurred during the approach of the Boeing 737 to Vilnius International Airport, Ramunas Matonis, a spokesman for the Lithuanian police department, said.
"The deceased was a Spanish citizen. There were four people on board, including two DHL employees and two pilots," he said.
One of the pilots is a Lithuanian citizen. "The Lithuanian pilot is conscious and able to communicate with authorities regarding the crash," Matonis stated.
The other two surviving crew members are citizens of Germany and Spain.
The plane was flying from Leipzig to Vilnius. It crashed a few kilometers from the airport, near a two-story residential building. A fire broke out, but none of the 13 residents of the building, including two children, were harmed.
