MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. A Rossiya Airlines’ plane en route to St. Petersburg with 111 passengers on board has successfully landed at Mineralnyie Vody airport after cabin decompression, emergency response services have told TASS.
"Due to decompression, the passenger plane made an emergency landing at Mineralnye Vody airport at 7:13 p.m. There were no casualties or fire," the source said.
The airline's press service told TASS that the Airbus’ pressure sensor sounded alarm during the flight.
"During the flight from Mineralnye Vody to St. Petersburg the Airbus airplane’s pressure sensor was triggered. The error disappeared immediately after the plane descended. The pilot made a decision to return to the airport of departure," the source said.
The airport’s emergency services had been alerted before the landing. According to preliminary information, none of the passengers required assistance.
