DONETSK, November 28. /TASS/. Power supply engineers have restored electricity supplies to the homes of more than 444,000 residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the regional Coal and Energy Ministry said in a statement.
On Monday, foul weather left 525,000 people across the region without power. Tram and trolley services were suspended, and schools and kindergartens shifted to telecommuting in a number of towns and villages.
"Engineers have restored the operation of thirteen 110 kV overhead power lines, ten 35 kV overhead power lines, and 361 6-10 kV overhead power lines, restoring power supplies to 2,823 transformer substations and 444,009 residential consumers," the statement reads.
According to the ministry, 826 transformer substations and 80,991 customers remained without power across the DPR as of 7:00 a.m. on November 28.
