MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. A gas cylinder may have caused the explosion that killed nine people in Sakhalin, a representative of emergency services told TASS on Saturday.
"Tentatively, it was an explosion of a 20-liter gas cylinder that was out at the balcony. Cylinders of that size are not allowed to be kept in living quarters," the person said.
The cylinder was connected to a cooking stove, according to the main theory.
The blast occurred at 05:03 am Moscow times, killing nine people and causing a section of the apartment building to collapse.
