Up to 20 people may remain in burning business center in west of Moscow — source

The cause of the fire was a short circuit due to improper installation of facade lighting systems

MOSCOW, June 3. /TASS/. Some 20 people may remain in the burning Grand Setun Plaza business center building in the west of Moscow, emergency services told TASS on Friday.

"Up to 20 people may be inside the building on the sixth and seventh floors. One is trapped on the seventh. The others may be on the sixth," the agency's interlocutor said.

It is a short circuit that caused a fire in the business center building, the firefighting headquarters told TASS on Friday.

"The cause of the fire was a short circuit due to improper installation of facade lighting systems," the headquarters said.

According to emergency services, there are no injuries reported at this time. Now the fire has affected the first four floors. The area of the fire is 1,000 square meters. It has been assigned the fifth rank of complexity out of five. Russian Emergencies Minister Alexander Kurenkov and his deputy, Ilya Denisov, arrived at the fire scene.

The building height is 10 floors, the total area is 76,500 square meters.
