Federal Customs Service says pays $78.2 bln into Russia’s coffers in 2024

Valery Pikalev noted that this number was 11% higher than in 2023, but 1% short of its projected target

MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. The Federal Customs Service put $78.2 billion into Russia’s coffers in 2024, its head Valery Pikalev told an expanded board meeting of the service.

"We have fulfilled the task set by the president, the government of the Russian Federation, as well as the Ministry of Finance. By the end of 2024, the service has transferred an impressive amount to the federal budget revenue - $78.2 billion," said Pikalev.

He noted that this number was 11% higher than in 2023, but 1% short of its projected target.

"During 2024, the service actively worked to improve the quality of customs revenue administration, identify payment collection reserves, and this turned out very positive. However, there are still some unresolved issues," Pikalev said.
