MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. Some Western companies continued working in Russia under a different brand and they would be treated with respect, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
"I would like to note that among foreign companies that left Russia under the political pressure of the so-called elites are those that keep the personnel, the technologies, and transferred administration to the Russian management. They essentially continued working in the Russian market but under a different brand. We understand that such investors bet big, could face adverse reactions of their governments. Nevertheless, they made an independent and responsible choice. We certainly respect such choice and will treat such our partners with respect," Putin noted.
However, there were other companies that left Russia and "demonstratively slammed the door," the president added.
