Agriculture trade between Russia, Uzbekistan up 20% in 2024

Trade turnover in agriculture products between Russia and Uzbekistan increased by 20% in 2024, the office of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev reported following a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister on issues of investment, industry and trade of Uzbekistan Zhamshid Khodzhayev.

"Russia and Uzbekistan are strategic partners in the agriculture sector. In 2024, trade in agriculture products and food increased by 20%. This year positive dynamics has persisted. We consider the market of Uzbekistan very promising for our exporters," Patrushev was quoted as saying.
