MINSK, March 10. /TASS/. Passengers of the Belarusian air carrier Belavia and Russia’s Nordwind can now have a single ticket issued for a number of destinations under the code sharing deal made between the parties, the press service of the Belarusian airline informed.
Passengers of two airlines can make flights with connection in Kazan and St. Petersburg. "The code sharing covers flights departing from March 11," the press service said. The agreement covers ten Russian cities and the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
"The new agreement obviously provides our passengers with more opportunities for traveling and convenience either when buying a ticket or in flight," Belavia CEO Igor Cherginets said. "We see the demand for flights from Belarus to cities covered by the agreement is huge and it will be satisfied owing to cooperation between airlines," he noted.
"Passengers from various Russian regions will have access to comfortable flights to the capital of the Republic of Belarus with an optimal transfer in one of our hubs owing to evolved connecting models of carriage of Nordwind Airlines in Kazan and St. Petersburg," Nordwind Deputy CEO Anton Mattis said in his turn.
