MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. The price of futures contracts of Brent crude oil for May 2025 delivery has dropped below $70 per barrel on London's ICE for the first time since October 1, 2024, according to trading data.
As of 5:57 p.m. Moscow time (2:57 p.m. GMT) the Brent price was down by 2.3% at $69.97 per barrel.
By 6:16 p.m. Moscow time (3:16 p.m. GMT) the price of Brent futures contracts had extended losses to 2.01% reaching $70.18 per barrel. Meanwhile the price of futures contracts of WTI crude oil for April delivery was down by 1.58% at $67.29 per barrel.
Meanwhile the price of gold futures contracts for April 2025 delivery was up by 0.69% at $2,921 per troy ounce on the Comex exchange (a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange), according to trading data.
The price of Bitcoin has decreased, according to Binance platform data. Earlier in the morning the price of the cryptocurrency was down at $83,582. By 6:16 p.m. Moscow time (3:16 p.m. GMT) Bitcoin had extended losses to $82,557.
