MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. The Russian stock market reacted by slower growth to the decision of the Bank of Russia to keep the key rate at the level of 21% per annum, according to the Moscow Exchange.
The MOEX Russia Index gained 2.22% to 3,278.1 points before the publication. The RTS Index was at the level of 1,134.41 points, up 2.22% also.
The MOEX Russia and the RTS indices slowed down after the Central Bank’s decision to 3,226.57 points (+0.61%) and 1,116.58 points (+0.61%) respectively.
The Board of Director of the Bank of Russia kept the key rate at 21% per annum at its first meeting in 2025, as expected before.
