MOSCOW, January 21. /TASS/. The price of preferred shares of Mechel rose by more than 5% on the Moscow Exchange following the report of postponement of payments on part of the principal of the company from 2025-2026 to 2027-2030.
As of 10:00 a.m. Moscow time (07:00 a.m. GMT), the company’s preferred stock was up by 5.04% at 116.8 rubles per share, while its ordinary shares were up by 5.07% at 115 rubles per share.
By 10:15 a.m. Moscow time (07:15 a.m. GMT), Mechel’s preferred and ordinary shares had slowed down growth to 113.75 rubles per share (+1.93%) and 112.68 rubles (+2.95%), respectively.
A company representative told TASS earlier that Mechel Group had agreed on postponement of payments on part of the principal from 2025-2026 to 2027-2030, which will allow reducing the burden on the group’s money flow.
