Russia one of world’s top three exporters — Putin

Export issues are related to milk, fruits and vegetables, though development programs work for resolving them, the president said

MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Russia is one of the world’s top three exporters, President Vladimir Putin said at a Q&A session combined with his annual press conference, adding that the country is also the world’s largest wheat supplier.

"We are among top three food exporters to the global market, while regarding wheat we are the first in the world. <…> Last year’s (grain - TASS) harvest of 148 mln tons was record. Now it is going to total 130 (mln tons), which is also a solid harvest. Over the past decade (Russia’s grain harvest) has stably exceeded 100 mln tons, this being a stable resource for export transactions," he said.

Export issues are related to milk, fruits and vegetables, though development programs work for resolving them, the president added.
