Digital ruble to be used in budget settlements from next year — Putin

Russia continues creating infrastructure that should make operations more convenient for the business and reduce costs, the head of state said

MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Settlements with the digital ruble use will start in the system of the Russian federal budget from the next year, President Vladimir Putin said at the 15th VTB Russia Calling! Investment Forum.

"As we agreed, settlements with the aid of the digital ruble must be used in the federal budget system from the next year and such opportunity must be within the scale of the entire country from July 1, 2025," Putin noted.

Russia continues creating infrastructure that should make operations more convenient for the business and reduce costs, the head of state added, speaking about the ruble use in international settlements.
