Russian industrial producers’ prices down 0.6% in October — statistics

In the processing sector, the rise in prices was noted for paper and paper products

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. According to preliminary data, prices of Russian industrial goods producers moved down by 0.6% month on month in October 2024, the Russian statistical agency Rosstat reports.

In mining operations, prices gained 27.4% for amber and 10.1% for gold-containing ore but declined by 9.6% for natural combustible gas, 9.1% for ore and concentrate of non-ferrous metals not included in other groups, 5.4% for marble and other limestone for monuments or construction, 5.2% for sea salt, 4.9% for bentonite (bentonite clay), and 4.3% for dewatered, desalinated and stabilized oil.

In the processing sector, the rise in prices was noted for paper and paper products. At the same time, prices lost 3.2% for paper for apparatus and instruments.

Prices declined for the following types of finished metal goods, except machinery and equipment: metal containers (-6.5%), structures and miscellaneous structural parts, sheets, bars, angles, profiles and the like items made of iron and steel or aluminum (-2.9%), and other metal times. The rise in prices was at the same equal to 17.3% for metal reservoirs and tanks, iron and steel wire grates, mesh and enclosures (+12.1%), and iron and steel, copper or aluminum sinks (+8.7%).
