Russia suggests UN Security Council commission look into US biolabs in Ukraine

The draft document is to be considered during the Security Council’s session on October 27

UNITED NATIONS, October 26. /TASS/. Russia has released a draft UN Security Council resolution that envisages setting up a commission investigating the activities of US biological labs in Ukraine.

The draft document, obtained by TASS, is to be considered during the Security Council’s session on October 27.

It says that the UN Security Council should "set up a commission consisting of all members of the Security Council to investigate into the claims against the US and Ukraine contained in the complaint of the Russian Federation regarding the compliance with obligations under the [Biological Weapons] Convention in the context of the activities biological laboratories in the territory of Ukraine, as well as present to the Council a report on the issue containing recommendations by 30 November 2022 and inform the States Parties to the Convention at its Ninth Review Conference to be held in Geneva on 28 November - 16 December 2022 on the results of the investigation."
