Railroad development to strengthen ties with foreign partners — Russian PM

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Development of the railroad network and the upgrade of border crossing points will strengthen trade ties with foreign partners of Russia, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"The effort of expanding the backbone network of railroads acquires significance for strengthening commercial ties with foreign partners," the prime minister said at the Transport of Russia forum, Throughput capacities of the Eastern Range, Azov-Black Sea and Northwestern directions and the North-South Corridor will be expanded according to presidential assignments, Mishustin noted.

"Certainly, it is necessary to modernize border crossings in coming years, including introduction of practice of electronic paperwork," he added.

"It is important that successful delivery of this task will contribute to the increase of transportation along international transport corridors," Mishustin stressed.
