Sibur to start ethylene production in Tatarstan in 2024

Production start is scheduled to November

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Sibur plans to start production at the EP-600 ethylene plant in Tatarstan before the end of this year, CEO of the Russian petrochemical company Mikhail Karisalov told reporters.

"Speaking about the EP-600, we have initiated process operations for pre-commissioning and startup this year. Sibur will receive first metric tons of new ethylene in Tatarstan this year," Karisalov said. Production start is scheduled to November, he added.

Sibur still has EP-600 production volumes not involved so far in further processing projects, Karisalov stressed. The company plans to decide on the final configuration for ethylene derivatives in the near time, he added.
