Lukoil suspends operation of one unit at Nizhniy Novgorod Refinery

"The company endeavors to restore as soon as possible the normal production conditions of Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez and satisfy requirements of the domestic market in coordination with its other members on account of all available resources," the statement says

MOSCOW, January 12. /TASS/. Lukoil has temporarily suspended operation of a unit at the Nizhniy Novgorod Refinery, the company said.

"In view of an incident at a process unit of Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez, its operation has been temporarily halted. The company endeavors to restore as soon as possible the normal production conditions of Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez and satisfy requirements of the domestic market in coordination with its other members on account of all available resources," it noted.

In late 2023, the company informed about extinguishing a fire outbreak at a process unit. Lukoil said at that time that nobody was injured and operations were not affected.
