MOSCOW, November 4. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko confirmed to TASS the forecast for grain harvest in Russia at the end of 2023 in the amount of 140 mln tons.
"We are talking about net weight. We hope that Rosstat will confirm the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture at around 140 mln tons," she told TASS.
At the end of October, the Ministry of Agriculture raised the forecast for grain harvest in the country in 2023 to 140 mln tons, including 93 mln tons of wheat.
Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture of estimated the grain harvest in Russia in 2023 at 123 mln tons, including 78 mln tons of wheat. Last year, about 158 mln tons of grain were harvested in Russia.
