ULAANBAATAR, October 23. /TASS/. Russia suggested building a small-capacity nuclear power plant (NPP) for Mongolia on its territory, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko said after the intergovernmental commission’s meeting.
"In the sphere of energy, we stated the possibility on the Russian side to build small-capacity nuclear plants on the territory of Mongolia," the official said.
Russia expressed readiness to closely cooperate in construction, having unique competencies and technologies, Abramchenko noted.
"We already see big prospects for this project, especially that nuclear power was recognized as the low-emission one within the framework of the Paris Agreement on climate," she added.
