BUDAPEST, April 11. /TASS/. Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto discussed with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak the security of the TurkStream gas pipeline and oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline in Moscow on Tuesday.
"Today, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and I have serious issues on the agenda: the physical and technical security of the TurkStream gas pipeline, which supplies our country with natural gas; maintaining transit supplies through the Druzhba pipeline, through which we receive oil; and protecting the nuclear industry from sanctions," Szijjarto wrote on Facebook (banned in Russia, owned by the Meta corporation, recognized as extremist in Russia).
The Minister supplemented his publication with photographs of negotiations with Novak.
Earlier, the Hungarian government expressed concern about the security of energy infrastructure in Europe in connection with the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines. Szijjarto said it was "insane" that there had been "no international, impartial, independent investigation" of the explosions on three strings of the Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea.
Hungary continues to receive Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline, and gas through the TurkStream and its branches through Bulgaria and Serbia. Last year, it imported 4.8 billion cubic meters of Russian fuel via this route.
