MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. Cooperation between Russia and China in the automobile and household appliance spheres has taken off, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper published on Friday.
"Trade and economic cooperation between China and Russia is developing fast, showing great strength and huge potential. In 2022, bilateral trade made a historic leap to $190.27 bln, up 29.3% compared from last year. Cooperation in the auto, household appliance, and consumer electronics industries has taken off," he said.
Moscow and Beijing boast strong economic synergy, and are on solid ground in trade and economic cooperation, the diplomat noted. "Last year, China exported 162,000 cars to Russia, up 33.4% year on year. The share of Chinese brands on the Russian market grew dramatically from 7% to 19.2%, with the cooperation model between enterprises having been diversified," he stressed.
