MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Unemployment in Russia is now at a record low, but this does not mean that all problems in the labor market have been resolved, President Vladimir Putin said at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
"Unemployment in Russia remains at a record low, but this does not mean that all problems in the labor market have already been resolved," he said.
Putin noted that in general the problems concern the quality of jobs, and in some regions and settlements the unemployment rate is much higher than the national average.
The President drew attention to the fact that at enterprises where output has declined, teams are only partially loaded and work part-time, which negatively affects their wages.
"As I said, on average, our real incomes are growing, but in some regions, in some areas, this is still not the case, and I expect more active steps from the colleagues," the President said, addressing the meeting participants.
The head of state also asked to ensure the widespread introduction of the principles of lean production in the sectors of the economy and the social sector, to expand the national project on labor productivity. Also, according to Putin, it is necessary to continue creating opportunities for professional development and training of young people so that they can acquire modern and in-demand skills, and ultimately be able to better provide for their families. In this respect, Putin drew attention to the implementation of a joint project of the state and business to modernize secondary vocational education.
