Russian Railways’ loading volumes down 4.8% in January 2023 to 99.2 mln tons

Meanwhile, freight turnover added 1.5% in the reporting period to 228.4 bln tariff ton-kilometers

MOSCOW, February 1. /TASS/. Russian Railways’ loading volumes decreased by 4.8% in January 2023 year-on-year to 99.2 mln tons, the press service of the state-owned railroad monopoly reported on Wednesday.

"The volume loaded on the network of Russian Railways amounted to 99.2 mln tons in January, down by 4.8% year-on-year," the report said.

Meanwhile, freight turnover added 1.5% in the reporting period to 228.4 bln tariff ton-kilometers, while freight turnover including empty run edged up by 0.4% to 284.3 bln ton-kilometers, the company said.
