Azerbaijani-Russian trade turnover up almost 24% in 2022

It is noted that Russia ranked third among Azerbaijan's trade partners in 2022 after Italy and Turkey

BAKU, January 25. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia amounted to $3.71 bln in 2022, up by 23.9% compared with 2021, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan reported on Wednesday.

Exports of Azerbaijani products to Russia totaled $975.46 mln last year (up by 5.9% compared to 2021), while imports from Russia equaled $2.74 bln (up by 31.8%), according to the report.

Russia ranked third among Azerbaijan's trade partners in 2022 after Italy and Turkey, according to the customs service. The share of trade operations with Russia during this period accounted for 7.04% of the republic’s total foreign trade turnover.

In 2021, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia increased by 12.1% and amounted to $2.99 bln. The share of trade operations with Russia stood at 8.83% of the total foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan in 2021.
