Banking system of Russia, China and Tajikistan meets FATF standards — Russian official

The Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (EAG) assessed operations of banking and financial institutions of the Group, Yury Chikhanchin said

DUSHANBE, November 25. /TASS/. The banking system in Russia, China and Tajikistan conforms to standards of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and international standards, Director of the Russian Federal Financial Monitoring Service and the Chairman of the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (EAG) Yury Chikhanchin told TASS after the 37th plenary session of the Group.

EAG assessed operations of banking and financial institutions of the Group, the official said. "Russia, China and Tajikistan demonstrated that the banking system in these countries at present is operating under standards of FATF and the international community," Chikhanchin stressed. This confirms once again that the national banking system in these countries is at a high level, he added.
