BANGKOK, November 18. /TASS/. A show presenting Thai-made silk apparel and styled by designers from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) was staged at Bangkok’s media center on Friday.
Organizers sent silk to designers from various economies participating in APEC before the summit. They had two months to make garments, which were presented by models working in Thailand.
Initially, the show was only supposed to be organized during the gala dinner for the participants of the APEC Economic Leaders' Week which was held the day before. However, a decision was made to hold it again. The reason for this, according to the organizers, was the admiration expressed by the French President Emmanuel Macron, who offered to bring the dresses to Paris for Fashion Week.
A Russian dress was designed by Yulia Dalakyan, and it was presented by a model named Tuniya. "I’m originally from Afghanistan, but I was raised in Denmark. I am here in Thailand showing this beautiful Russian dress," she told TASS.
