Owner of Vkusno I Tochka chain to buy 100% of Havi Russia logistics company

MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. Alexander Govor, owner of Vkusno I Tochka, formerly McDonalds in Russia, is buying 100% of the assets of the logistics company Havi Russia, the Vkusno I Tochka company announced on Wednesday.

Previously, Havi Logistics was engaged in the transportation of products for McDonald's.

"Entrepreneur Alexander Govor, owner of the Vkusno-i Tochka fast food chain, is buying 100% of the Russian assets of Havi Russia (Rulog LLC)," the statement says.

Over 1,200 people working in the logistics company will keep their jobs, and the management team will remain unchanged. The buyer will also receive 14 of the logistics company’s distribution centers across the country. The transaction will be completed after receiving approval from the Federal Antimonopoly Service. After the finalization of all legal formalities, all assets will belong to Logistika I Tochka JSC, the statement says.

Earlier, RBC reported, citing a source familiar with the talks, that Havi Logistics, a food logistics company, was looking for someone to transfer its business in Russia to.

McDonald's shut all its restaurants in Russia on March 14. On May 16, the global fast food giant, whose share in this market reached 7%, announced its withdrawal from Russia and, through the mediation of the Industry and Trade Ministry, sold the business to Alexander Govor. The chain operates under the brand Vkusno I Tochka (which translates to Tasty and That’s It) and is currently represented in 62 Russian regions. The company has resumed the operation of its restaurants nationwide. At present, more than 830 venues are open.
