Nominations for daily gas pumping via Nord Stream down to 68 mln cubic meters

MOSCOW, June 16. /TASS/. Nominations for daily pumping of Russian gas via the Nord Stream gas pipeline went down to around 68 mln cubic meters on Thursday, according to data provided by Nord Stream AG.

On the previous day nominations for gas supply via Nord Stream amounted to around 100 mln cubic meters per day.

On June 15, Gazprom announced it was halting operation of one more Siemens gas turbine engine at the Nord Stream gas pipeline because of ended time to overhaul. As a result, throughput from the night of June 16 was expected to fall by a third to 67 mln cubic meters per day.

On Tuesday, Gazprom said it was forced to lower natural gas supplies via Nord Stream against the schedule due to untimely return of gas pumping units from repair by Siemens and identified malfunctions of engines.
