UK to ban Russian iron and steel import from April 14

The UK government announced the ban on import of Russian steel products as early as on April 6

LONDON, April 13. /TASS/. The United Kingdom will ban import of iron and steel from Russia and will stop supplying some high-technology product to Russia, Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said on Wednesday.

"From tomorrow, we are banning the import of Russian iron and steel, as well as the export of quantum technologies and advanced materials," she said.

The UK government announced the ban on import of Russian steel products as early as on April 6. The procedure for redistribution of Russian and Belarusian quotas for steel import was launched on the same day.
