MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. US users keep reporting problems in the work of Facebook and Instagram on Tuesday, following a major outage on Monday, according to Downdetector, a web service that monitors internet outages.

According to a Downdetector chart for October 5, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp have not yet been completely restored after Monday’s outage, as Downdetector was receiving reports about errors throughout Tuesday. The number of disrupted service reports slightly increased on Tuesday evening: more than 1,000 complaints about Instagram’s work have been received from US users, and more than 800 - about Facebook.

There were few reports from other countries as well, including Russia.

On October 4, users across the world reported a massive crash of a number of internet resources, including social media giants like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. It took more than 6.5 hours to fix the problem, which stemmed from an error made by Facebook engineers during the updating process. They ultimately had to update the databases manually.
