BEIJING, August 4. /TASS/. Chinese forces are conducting military drills in the South China Sea from August 4 to 6, the China Maritime Safety Administration reported.
The coordinates published on the agency’s website indicate that the maneuvers are taking place southeast of Hainan Island. Over the three-day period, the drills will run daily from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Beijing time (22 p.m. to 10:30 a.m. GMT).
Authorities have warned that vessel passage through the designated area will be prohibited during the exercise window.
