TEHRAN, July 13. /TASS/. Tehran has always been in control of the Strait of Hormuz, and will keep doing so in the future, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

"Iran has always been the guardian of the Strait and will remain so forever," he wrote on the X social network.

Araghchi also commented on US President Donald Trump’s plans to seize control over the waterway and to levy a security toll of 20%.

"20% is of course too much. We will be fair," Araghchi said.
