Russia developing Caspian flotilla infrastructure — top brass

MOSCOW, March 20. /TASS/. Coastal infrastructure for the docking and maintenance of the Caspian flotilla of warships, speedboats and vessels is being constructed in Kaspiysk in the Republic of Dagestan, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a report timed to coincide with Defense Minister Andrey Belousov’s working trip to Russia’s North Caucasus republic.

"At present, work to construct a complex of hydrotechnical facilities, including the northern and southern piers spanning more than 2 kilometers, as well as berths and coastal infrastructure for effective docking and servicing of vessels and speedboats is ongoing in Kaspiysk," the ministry specified.
