ST. PETERSBURG, February 11. /TASS/. The Kingisepp Machine Building Plant (KMZ) military and industrial holding has successfully tested a large batch of warfare engines intended for use in the special military operation, a representative of the holding’s press service told TASS.
"The Kingisepp Machine Building Plant military and industrial holding has tested the UTD-20, B-84, B-46, and D-12 warfare diesel engines. A large batch of engines has been tested successfully. They are ready to go. The engines reached full speed rpm during trials," the press service said.
These engines are used in such special equipment as infantry fighting vehicles, airborne assault vehicles, the Osa anti-aircraft weapon system, 2S7M Malka motorized artillery system, Msta-S artillery system, T-72B tank, as a traction engine for the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, and in the MAZ-543, among others.
The Kingisepp Machine Building Plant provides a range of services to ensure guaranteed and uninterrupted operation of diesel systems designed for civilian and military use. The enterprise is involved in repair and maintenance works on diesel engines. It is the head executor of a number of state defense contracts on basic repair of diesel engines for engineering equipment.
